| json_metadata | "{"app":"Musing","appTags":["Life"],"appCategory":"Life","appTitle":"Who is your favorite Marvel character, and why??","appBody":"<p>This is hard, there are so many amazing characters in the Marvel Universe.</p>\n<p>I really like Deadpool and I'm so impressed that the movies got off the ground after about 15 years of struggle between creatives and executives.</p>\n<p>My favourite character though, I think, it's really hard to narrow down, is Gambit:</p>\n<p><img src=\"https://www.mpaa.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/10/gambit.jpg\"/></p>\n<p>He was just so cheeky, I really liked him.</p>\n<p>I liked his cool jacket, I liked that amongst all these super powerful characters, he was flinging around flimsy playing cards and I liked that he had some ninja skills with his bo staff.</p>\n<p>While Wolverine and Cyclops were constantly fighting and everything was so important and epic, Gambit often provided that cheeky lightheartedness.</p>\n<p>It took me a long time to even care about the X-Men... I loved Spiderman, but even that was confusing since he had about 3 comics at the time... and X-Men just seemed like a massive confusing can of worms that was too hard to open. One day though, the X-Men were in a Spiderman comic, and someone (Mr Sinister maybe) was beating down on Rogue... and Spiderman said \"Hey, that's no way to treat a lady!\", Gambit quipped \"or Rogue neither, no?\" and Beast commented that he was playing a dangerous game... I loved it so hard.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><img src=\"https://bamsmackpow.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/308/files/2018/02/rag2showdown.jpg\"/></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>Eventually the X-Men cartoon came out and I was 100% all in. I still think it's one of the best cartoon series ever made. The relationship between Rogue and Gambit was cheeky and fun, but filled with heartbreak because they couldn't touch each other.</p>\n<p>Gambit also talked in a Cajun/French accent which I thought was cool, and he was never really trusted or accepted by the others... a true outcast of the outcasts.</p>\n<p>Great question...
