A big thing to keep in mind here is that sex and gender of different. Sex is determined biologically by your chromosomes, and having XY will make your sex male, while XX will make your sex female - at least for humans.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>Gender on the other hand, is a social construct. Most countries and societies still use a binary gender structure, which consists of the main two genders; male and female. There are however many societies that accept a third or forth gender as well, in addition to societies that believe that genders is a spectrum with many different options.&nbsp;</p>\n<p>So to conclude, there are definitely more genders than 2, since some societies have defined multiple genders.
