Is it really a deciding factor in a relationship?","appBody":"
If you're in a relationship with someone of a significantly age, great! You obviously have something in common, and age does not appear to be among the more important things to you.
\n
For now.
\n
If the relationship becomes long term, things may not always be so blissful. People change as they age, especially health-wise, and someone who is compatible now will likely be much less so in 15-20 years. A guy in his 40s now will be in his 60s then, and trust me (I'm 53), the body just doesn't want to do things that it once did later in life. If you're the younger partner in that same relationship, however, in that 15-20 years time you'll be pretty much as you are now.
\n
To answer your question more directly, the hang up on age is more about later (much later) than it is now. If the horizon for your relationship is short-term (e.g., let's just live life right now to the fullest and not worry about what happens later), then age is just a number. But if you're in for the long haul, it will be far more than just a number decades from now.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"pkustdhl5","appParentAuthor":"winarobert","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |
