I think as a lot of the others have said, it is pretty easy to become addicted to anything if you let it start to control your life. Food, Gambling, Sex, Online Activity, these are all things that people can be addicted to.
\n
I can attest to the fact that Steemit is quite immersive. It is really easy to spend an afternoon typing up a post and promoting it, commenting on other peoples posts, and spending your time networking on Discord.
\n
There have been quite a few times I have been following that routine, then I suddenly wonder where the day went. I still get alerts and things like that, but for the most part I don't post or comment too much on the weekend unless it is a quick Steepshot post.
\n
There really isn't anything that can't wait until the next week to cover. The good thing is, you have seven days to respond or upvote or comment, so it really isn't that big of a deal to wait two or three days.
\n
If Steemit isn't something you can walk away from for a short time and still be okay, then you may need to take a closer look at your habits and how you are managing your time.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"pkd8m9d75","appParentAuthor":"alaisguineasis","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |
