Does that mean we spend all of our time scouring each other's phone for some kind of \"gotcha\". Absolutely not. If you are living in that kind of an environment it isn't healthy.</p>\n<p>The only time there was an issue with her having access to my phone was when I was trying to plan a surprise party for her and people were communicating with me via messenger. I had to be really careful that she didn't look at my messages and figure out that we were going to have a party for her. </p>\n<p>There was one time I really needed to send out a message, but I was driving and I knew if I had her do it she would see the other messages and the surprise would be ruined. I just had to wait it out and send the message myself when I got home. Luckily everything turned out okay.</p>\n<p>If your relationship is going to last, it needs to be built on trust and not secrets. I guess that being said one could argue that we don't need to give access to our devices to each other because we should just trust each other. Why create that barrier to a certain part of your life though. For me, it would just be so inconvenient if my wife were not able to have access to my phone.</p>","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"pk6ma3nsw","appParentAuthor":"erica20","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |
