You can go to the Musing Discord server and you can see them talk about this. l also see that someone has posted the document they use to evaluate the answers.
\n
There was a time a little bit ago it was noticed that Musing was doing some powering down of their SP. I inquired about this and I was informed that it was so they could pay the curators.
\n
That was answer enough for me. I totally understand that curating is a tough job. Especially when you figure how many questions are being asked and answered every day here. It only make sense that they should get some kind of compensation. I think because of that it gives them an incentive to actually read the questions and answers.
\n
If it came to light that they were just phoning it in, I think they would be quickly removed from the team.
\n
You can see that high quality content is pretty consistently rewarded on Musing.io. That wouldn't be the case if they were just upvoting randomly. I get sometimes I might feel like they are when you type a response to a question and don't get upvoted, but you also have to remember that they probably only vote down to about 80% each day so that they can recover back to 100% in the 24 hour period.
\n
It doesn't allow them the ability to upvote every great answer because they need to be able to maintain their VP. Chances are though, if they have to skip over you on one question and you type up a good response to another question, they will get you on that one next time.
\n
I have a feeling it becomes very apparent to them over time which people are actually putting some effort into their answers and which ones are just typing a sentence or two hoping to get an upvote.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"pkqg9aezw","appParentAuthor":"ayerz","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |
