The breakdown for each exchanges can be dived deeper at <em>https://www.coingecko.com/en/exchanges</em></p>\n<p>As for pricing, our price index uses a global volume weighted average for calculation, with the consideration of as many exchanges as possible.</p>\n<p>Here is an example for Steem, <em>https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/steem/trading_exchanges</em> lists all the trading pairs we track for Steem. From all of these trading pairs, we use the volume weighted average in order to determine the global average. </p>\n<p>You will also see some shaded rows in the table.
