Just like in PoS a person has to stake coins to participate in the consensus or to run the node, in PoC also, a person has to stake coins to be eligible to run a node and those coins will be locked and if the person stops running the node, then the coins will be released. However in this consensus protocol a credit rating assigned for each node.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><img src=\"https://cdn.steemitimages.com/DQmNT46kJpBnBpMuhSeU1pUH62ypyYhdqrRrehYUUqhATfZ/wp3.png\" /></p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p>This credit rating is basically <strong>to determine the integrity and trustworthiness of a user running the node</strong> and there are two alert system in this credit rating:-</p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Yellow Card Alert</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p>Yellow Card Alert is issued to those users running the node which results in internet disconnection or computer crash etc where the intention is not to harm the network. The punishment in Yellow card Alert is freezing up of funds for 3 days and credit rating downgraded but he can be able to participate again.</p>\n<ul>\n <li><strong>Red Card Alert</strong></li>\n</ul>\n<p>Red Card Alert is issued to those users running the node which deliberately make hostile attack to the network.
