Learning and growing up with other kids your age is the normal way of doing things. I think if you have tried this and it is not working for your child then homeschooling is fine.</p>\n<p>I hated school , but loved the friendships that I had as it made it special. The sports that we played has taught me many lessons that I use today. I would hate to be anti social and feel that home schooling could be more damaging for younger children.</p>\n<p>The technology is changing all the time so it is possible to get a great education at home. I think it depends on the child and the discipline of the parents over seeing the education.</p>\n<p>My daughter struggled with mainstream schooling and ended up in a class of 5 other children and thoroughly enjoyed it. If I had done the same for my son he would have hated it as friendships were important to him.</p>\n<p>Today I am still in contact with my school friends 30 years later as they are lifetime friends.</p>\n<p><br></p>","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"f3j2zgc93p","appParentAuthor":"kwadjobonsu","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |
