Try putting a pillow between your legs and this will aid in keeping your back straight. Experiment a little and find a comfortable position and maybe buy a more supporting pillow. If all else fails look at your bed and there are beds out there that will support your back.
\n
Look for a zoned mattress as I know they are made to give extra support and keep the spine straight. The Bed Clinic is one site that has this sort of thing available.
\n

\n

\n

\n
2. Have a hot bath as this will help ease the muscles in your back. When your back becomes tense and painful the muscles contract around the damaged area pulling the back out of line. This can get worse and a natural remedy may not work if it deteriorates.
\n
3. Posture is a back killer. Sitting in one spot too long will stiffen your muscles so I suggest you take regular breaks from whatever you are doing to give your back a break.
\n

\n

\n

\n
4.Exercises such as swimming are excellent as we use muscles that are not normally used. The buoyancy of the water will take the pressure off your spine and back muscles.
\n

\n

\n

\n
5. Massages and acupuncture will help you immensely. When we have back pain the muscles stiffen and contract around the damaged area. having acupuncture over the damaged muscles will increase blood flow relaxing those muscles easing the pain immediately. this is quite amazing to watch as you can actually see the blood flowing back to the muscles as the area becomes more red.
\n
6. Ice packs and heat packs. If the muscles are swollen use an ice pack regularly just for a short 5 or 10 minutes to help reduce the swelling. If your back is stiff you can use a heat pack to help loosen the muscles.
\n
7. If all else fails go and see a chiropractor as your back could be out of line and no matter what treatment you do it will never come right naturally. It may be as simple as just having a reset which should take one 30 minute session.
\n
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"fkseuzh95","appParentAuthor":"blanchy","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}"
