I would like to see some improvements in Steem Inc's communication with the user base, but what I would like to see even more than that, are more dapps/frontends on the blockchain.

When I am able to make 75% of my Steem income from dapps (like musing 😉 ) who support their users, it begs the question of what can Steemit change, that will benefit the Steem economy? Steemit has some pretty serious issues (economically speaking) and is becoming less, and less my "preferred" method of working on the Steem blockchain.

I understand Steem Inc does fund projects on the Steem blockchain, and that in essence is supporting Steem users, but why do they waste all of their VP by lack of use? Steem should also partake in manually curating content IMO. After all, this is a system that rewards intellectual content, based on quality, of course they should be curating.

If there is one thing i would like to change about steemit then that will be to make sure only deserving content in quality and originality get to the trending pages. It is so annoying and frustrating to see good quality contents that go unnoticed on the platform and ironically, moving to the trending page just to find some very funny posts of 5 pictures and a paragraph of words hitting the big nodes. It is so unfair and discouraging if you ask me. So i think steemit really needs some form of a trending page review Admin or something to review the kind of contents that hit the trending pages.

I don't mind seeing contents with $10 payout on the trending page that is rich in quality than see a content with a $600 payout then you click it to read it just to find nothing worth reading. This is a very serious issue that really needs to be addressed. It passes a wrong message about the platform especially to newbies. I remember after joining steemit, i barely had $0.1 as payout desepite making great posts then i always visited the trending page to read the posts that were there to see if i could pick a few lessons from their posts that might help me in developing better contents but always ended up being disappointed. My posts were even better than most of the ones i saw there so that really got me thinking what was really going on.

It was only later that i discovered they were promoting their posts with bid bots and upvote bots and other postpromotion services. With this kind of means of getting to the trending page, steemit will never stand up to its goal of promoting quality contents through curiation. There has to be a compromise at this level and that is why i would love that a trending page Admin be formed to review all posts that hit the he trending page or rather, post quality should be the strict prerequisite for hitting trending and not number of upvotes or payout. We should be sure that when one goes to the trending page, his expectations of finding only the best posts there should not be crushed.

If I would change one thing about steemit it would be the bot voting. I may not have the right terms but i don't like the fact that there bots you pay to get your posts upvoted and trending or is it promoted? I would think steemit like it says is for curation of original content, if it is so then whatever payout you get should be because your post was loved by people not because of a bot.

I would also want to change the reputation thingy. I don't like that some people are called whales and some minnows. It makes one feel inferior and some people feel so superior. I wish Every one can be equal without any number attached to the names after all SP you have does It determine your reputation, it is the worth of vote you have and the worth of SP of the voters. People do lots of things just to build up their reps and I don't think it is ideal..

Another thing I would love to change about steemit is turn it Into an actual social media. They say steemit is a social media but not entirely true. There are too many rules and regulations guiding it. People are not free to post about what They love because they are afraid they may not earn from it. I would love to see steemit be like Instagram, Facebook, erg where I share a thought, a picture, a picnic story, an awkward tale where I can make as many posts a day as I like depending on whatever happens to me and see people comment and like it.

i know you said one thing, well I saw it as an opportunity to say my mind.

It is not easy writing especially when one is afraid to write what they like so they can earn. Many people are not used to how the system works. Some make some honest mistakes and after one unsuccessful appeal gets banned. Two appeals at least shouldn't be too much.

I know you said one thing, well I saw it as an opportunity to say my mind.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"pk9turbm5","appParentAuthor":"daan","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer","tags":["musing-threads"]}" |
