As in why? I'm going to give you my take in point form below:</p><p>1. If the RC requirement is set too low, which means any average Joe will be able to create account for absolutely no reason other than spam.</p><p>2. The current setup of the required RC to create account needed a few thousand SP worth of RC to create. Which means, unless you're dolphin status, otherwise it's not quite possible to claim an account with the existing low SP(RC)</p><p>3. If anyone truly wanted to create an account for a friend who referred and be responsible to their activity, one can buy an account with existing SBD/Steem or even pay with compatible cryptos. Create account can be done via blocktrades and a few other dapp. </p><p>4. Alternatively, create an account with the Steemit sign up page. No need to pay anything. Verify and wait for the account creation</p><p>Anyway, I think I'm a little bit off. Whether it's high or low, that totally depending on what you're hoping for. If you think it's too high? Do it with the officials, and you even get delegation. I bought 3 accounts for some friend which I introduced, and I'm regretting it. People doesn't really know how to appreciate gifts, and each accounts costs me some 6SBD to create. Summary, if you think the account to be created worth it?
