I really missed it.
\n
My first gaming memory was Ran Online. I was 9 years old that time and I was carrying my baby brother when I play in computer shops. I was invited by my close friend who was my neighbor and was the reason why I hooked to gaming.
\n
My character that time was a Brawler Dex type. Since I was at my very young age and have limited money (to pay for the rent), I only reached level 67 that time. I had some good items but not that luxurious. I was just purely enjoying the game without overthinking how to become strong - a typical kid mindset. I can understand too because I only spend around 1 hr a day playing.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"p3jkjqc2q","appParentAuthor":"ddrfr33k","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}"

So i have 2 early memories and I'd be struggling to define which came first without googling the launch dates of both systems so Ill tell you about both.
\n
First there was this absolute classic!
\n

\n
bat and ball for the atari 2600
\n

\n

\n

\n

\n
I remember this being so much fun, the aim of the game was similar to tennis. a 'ball'(what would, in modern times be referred to, technically speaking, as 'a dot') would bounce from one side of the screen to the other and using the atari controller, which was basically a box with a knob that you could turn left or right would move the bat (these days, referred to as 'a line')
\n

\n

\n
up and down the screen, the player had a myriad of directional choices (up or down). The winner would be the person who got the 'ball'past the other person 10 times. Believe it or not my brother would literally play this for hours on end. The atari seemed like such a modern, technological marvel at the time even though even though it had the computational power of a potato peeler. Ahhh those were the days!
\n
The other thing i remember is the modern marvel that was chucky egg
\n

\n

\n

\n
In this game for the early spectrum 48k you played the part of a 'farmer' (yellow blob) the point of the game was to jump around the 2 dimensional donkeykong-esque screen collecting eggs whilst avoiding 'geese' (blue blobs) it was a game so frustratingly, hair ripping-out-ingly, impossibly hard that i am fairly sure that it has been at least partially responsible for several major world conflicts and certainly saw a huge spike in the murder rate for family member homicides.
\n

","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"p3jkjqc2q","appParentAuthor":"ddrfr33k","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}"
