Steem is the currency on the Steemit blockchain and a SMT is  a currecy for an Dapp running on top  of it.</p>\n<p>Each Dapp will have  a value as they are backed by Steem. No one knows what value each one will have but they will obviously vary. The launch time is from March next year and some have announced dates already.</p>\n<p>Steemhunt has announced that it will launch on May 21st 2019.
