Quora is a public website. Because musing is on steemit it is decentralized and not censored. Quora is centralized and answers and questions can be censored.</p>\n<p>On musing you are incentivized to earn Steem whereas on Quora there are no benefits. Due to this reason you should find the popularity of musing increase over time and become bigger than Quora. basically musing is paying for a better answer through their upvotes.</p>\n<p> Musing is a Dapp and at some point launch a token to its users. This token will hold value against Steem. Quora has no such reward system and your time spent answering there is just for fun with no benefits.</p>\n<p>Musing has no ads whilst Quora I noticed has quite a few. These ads help pay for Quora's site whilst musing makes money through it's curation of questions and answers.</p>\n<p>Musing in the future will grow and I am sure Quora will lose most of it's users to musing at some point. In fact so many of them come to my mind that it would be difficult to pen down them all. So, I would just try to list the major ones here:</p>\n<p>1. Musing is based on the Steem blockchain, while the Quora is just another website on the internet.</p>\n<p>2. Being on a decentralized network, Musing is decentralized as well. On the other hand, Quora is a centralized platform.</p>\n<p>3. Musing is censorship resistant, while content on Quora can be censored by their team.</p>\n<p>4. Content creation on musing is incentivized in the form of earning Steem tokens and SBD. On the other hand you earn nothing by writing answers or asking questions on Quora.</p>\n<p>5. This means that you get paid for spending time on Musing, while you get nothing for your time on Quora.</p>\n<p>6. Musing is free from advertisement. Like all common websites Quora introduced ads in 2016 and is now full of them.</p>\n<p>7. When you are incentivized for you content (like Musing), you tend to put in a greater effort to improve the quality of your answers.</p>\n<p>..... These are just some of the major differences. For me, one of the biggest difference is that I get satisfaction by being here on Musing. I already know that people will be upvoting my content here and the community would support each other.</p>\n<p>Last year I registered at Quora and answered a few questions and in return a few of them were answered for me. I'll be truthful here, Quora started to feel like an expensive hobby after a few days.
