How true is that?","appBody":"<p>Microwaving food itself isn't the problem, it's what you microwave the food with that's actually harmful to your health. Heating the food up doesn't do any harm to you or the food, the problem lies in the containers that you place in the microwave with the food.</p><p>Plastics are the major problems here as they release certain chemicals which leach into your food when you're microwaving them. Such chemicals like phthalates and bisphenol-A could cause serious issues in the body and should be avoided at all costs.</p><p>Whatever the case, just stick to using non-plastic containers and oven mittens and you should be fine though. Whatever the case just stay away from food that's been reheated while in plastic containers. How true is that?","appBody":"<p>No. I have been using microwave for a long time and I don't feel any health issues as a result of that. Even our family doctor approves the use of microwave food. What I believe is that in microwave the water particles that is present in the food is taken out as a result of heat generated in the microwave. Technically in microwave, the food does not get altered, rather a friction happens between the water molecules present in the food in the process of heating in microwave.</p>\n<p>It is true that a very small magnetic field is generated in microwave but historically there is no such evidence that has come into picture due to which it can result in some serious health issue like cancer. So it is baseless to say that by eating microwave food, one will develop disease like cancer. What I will suggest is that when the microwave is on don't stay near to it, and one should maintain some distance from the microwave when it is on, that will definitely do good for health.
