When it comes to your activity on Steem do you usually go with the flow and post what's trending and keep the pace with it or you stick with your niche and quality for your posts no matter what?

To be completely honest "Trending" page is so rigged I didn't check it in ages. Pretty much anyone who has few hundred STEEM available (approximately 300) can position themselves on top of the trending for the whole week

Why would I read that BS? And that's one of the main problems STEEMIT has at this point (I'm saying Steemit as it's the most used front-end)

Let me clarify, when new users come first of all, it take weeks to get an account (will change with HF-20). Secondly, they encounter that shitty trending page that has nothing do with real trending but with who bought more bots to promote their shitty posts

That usually is a shocker to many, especially to those who are not in crypto and results in them never coming back. But that wasn't a question of this post

I always always stick with my niche no matter what, if you'll write about what's "trending" in your opinion you'll never become an expert in anything. That will most likely be some recycled material you've seen elsewhere and now you try to keep with the trends by changing it a bit & add your dose of style

But that's not creativity! That's pretty much trying hard to be good at something you aren't good at.

Rather than doing that, always stick with your niche & the things you became expert at, eventually (but slowly) that will lead you to success. Especially if there are some prominent members who might find your content worthy (and your content really is worthy).

Other than that, you should always try harder to make your content as appealing as possible.

Develop writing techniques, improve, learn how to say the most in the least time (as average human doesn't have time), And if you are by all means a no expert in anything, make sure to become one!

Constant education & collecting real, quality information is the way to go! Good luck
