Some, with a certain benevolence, will dismiss me as a fool to capirote and will not lack reason, and there will be others who will call me simply a phantom.
\n

\n
I do not care. At this point, the opinion of the people sweats it to me and since today I have a silly day, I am going to answer it, hoping to offer one more opinion on this question. The one lived by me.
\n

\n
Initial situation
\n

\n
When finishing the military service, when I had finished my degree, I had a job that gave me a lot of exposure to know business and people. It was a good job, where every two years more or less doubled the salary and there were never missing offers to work in other places with double or more salary, which always ended up rejecting. Unfortunately, my expenses quickly adjusted to my new salaries and, frequently, they were superior.
\n

\n
My first million
\n

\n
Tired of never having a euro, but always live in negative numbers, I decided to accept a new job where more than tripling my salary then, which was already quite high. That new job gave me the opportunity to save while maintaining the standard of living, and in about four years, I had just over a million dollars in the bank. That's almost thirty years ago.
\n

\n
It vanished
\n

\n
With the savings, I started new businesses. I will not detail the circumstances or the reasons or problems encountered, suffice it to say that after two years, not only had he lost a million dollars, but almost twice as much, which he still owed to banks and creditors.
\n

\n
Resurrection
\n

\n
It cost me blood sweat and tears, but in the end I was able to pay all the debts and save again everything I lost.
\n

\n
With that money, I went back to the business arena. This time more risky. Quite risky, for the haste to win a lot and soon.
\n

\n
It dissipated
\n

\n
With ups and downs, with some businesses flourishing and others crashing, taking more time than the first time, I also managed to make all the money disappear.
\n

\n
Finally…
\n

\n
I recomposed myself again but the slide of ups and downs continued, like a drug, although each time with less impact.
\n

\n
I was convinced that winning and losing money was part of life, of taking risks, that sometimes go well and sometimes not.
\n

\n
Finally, a couple of surgical operations, one of them open-hearted, made me see that life was something more than risk taking sometimes done more for fun than for real motivation.
\n

\n
I decided to leave and rest and here I am. Quiet.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"p3ues9hdx","appParentAuthor":"erika1994","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |
