Just because you are a new user it doesn't automatically guarantee you to a delegation.
\n
Look at how many users have abandoned the platform today because the price of Steem has dropped. I wouldn't support anyone who abandoned and then came back. I basically passed a test before I received delegation as i proved on how serious I was for growing my account.
\n
I think a new account should spend 3- 6 months on here first before they are delegated anything. This highlights what they are doing and that they are serious enough about being part of the community. I am constantly looking for new users to help and have my eye on 2 right now who I am considering delegating to.
\n
I believe that you have to help yourself first and can only start delegating once you are big enough yourself otherwise you are hindering your own growth. 5000 SP has always been my target before I will delegate to an app or to another user.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"f3sdr5ehq","appParentAuthor":"erikah","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}"

That will equally do good for the SP holder as well as the small category users and stake holders. If a whale has good amount of SP then by default he/she is a leader and the leader should lead in this community and with that there also exist a responsibility for this community.
\n
This community is decentralized but that does not mean that no one will take up the responsibility and if everyone thinks of self gain only by voting for their pie and gaining as much as they can, then this community and ecosystem will not become healthy. That is probably the reason of such a steep downfall of steem price. Even Dan Larimer also mentioned about this and Dan said that \"the whales do not care about the price of steem\". But regardless of that, this ecosystem has still survived because of presence of some good whales who have really worked hard in this ecosystem, although their numbers are very less.
\n
The other part is that it is not about only upvoting for new users and make the engagement intact but the most important thing is that there should be healthy and productive engagement so that the users who are coming into this ecosystem should find it interesting along with earning tokens for their valuable effort. So it is key to work on other parameters also to make more and more productive engagement and if that can happen, then the upvoting will work along with that else it will not yield any good result in the long run.
\n
The system is degined in such a way that whoever is putting money in the form of SP be it a large SP holder or a medium or a small SP holder, everyone is looking to make a return out of that. That is not bad but somehow it is creating a conflict of interest within the ecosystem. On the other hand there are bad actors who do spam and plagiarize also, to take advantage of these rewards in this ecosystem. So it is important that the leaders(large SP holder) should work in close co-ordination so that they can help to make productive engagement in this community and the genuine hard working planktons and minnows should get rewarded by voting from these large SP holder and the spammers should feel discouraged and should evaporate at some time. That will do good for the community.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"f3sdr5ehq","appParentAuthor":"erikah","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}"
