I don't see why should everyone believe in religion. Besides, you can't force anyone to believe in something just because it's mandatory. You believe because you see the good side of it or because you believe it's good for you. Otherwise what's the point?

There are societies that are actually forcing people into religion, like it or not. It doesn't matter if you believe in it or not, you have to pretend, you have to obey the rules set by others to avoid punishment. That is totally wrong! People should be free to choose religion and to choose if they believe in it or not.

Times are changing, people get smarter every day and I hope it'll come the time when these religious societies will realise it's better to let people free than to force people, to keep them in fear in order to obey.

There were times when lack of knowledge made people believe many things, a simple thunderstorms was seen as punishment from God and people out of fear would have done anything to escape punishment. The church had a huge role in keeping people in fear. Those times are long gone in a great part of the world. People are smart, they don't believe everything blindly.

I think a better aproch is to teach people how to be good citizens, how to respect themselves and others, teach the Bible and let them decide if they believe in religion or not.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"p3p9q9vzq","appParentAuthor":"iscobet9ja","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |
