Surely there were many worse, but this is the one I remember at this moment.
\n

\n
I had come to Holland to settle down to live for a few years and was in the process of decoding the rules and customs of that country.
\n

\n
I invited a meal in my little apartment. I had already realized that the Dutch drink a lot more alcohol than ... well ... I do not know if the Argentinians put in but I, for sure. I calculated one beer per person and half a liter of wine for the meal. I thought it was a lot of alcohol, but I remembered that it was better than not, and I do not ... I believe that at that time my budget was quite limited.
\n

\n
Arrive guests I serve beer. The beer disappears at lightning speed and everyone starts to look at me: and the other when it comes?
\n

\n
I step out announcing that the food is ready. Food = wine. With horror I begin to realize that the wine is disappearing fast as lightning and that it will not reach me in any way.
\n

\n
I timidly took the only possible way out. Laughing, I commented that obviously I had been wrong in the amount of beer and wine I should have had. That we were \"dry\". Quickly one of the diners got up and said: \"I go to my house to look for more wine and I come back\". I finally managed to relax, the discomfort passed and I had a good time.
