What are the qualities we need in a good friend?

I think I need friends who are responsible and able to motivate when we lose direction, and always give advice when we make bad things in life.

What are the qualities we need in a good friend?

Sometimes you can just click with a person naturally but a thing that i guess would be sonething to look for is that even if you havent spoken in months its not a bad thing, you need someone who can understand that you have your life and they have theirs and you cant always keep in contact with eachother.
