When you have conditional love for a person, you expect them to behave the way you feel they should, you expect them to be who you say they should be, you expect them to live up to your expectations because you feel that if they didn't then they'd be in the wrong.

Conditional love is a kind of love that propagates the belief that you're right and the person who you love is wrong and if they don't fit into that perfect picture that you've created in your head then they do not deserve and will not receive the love and care that you have. The thing about conditional love that really irks me is the fact that is dismissive of other people's opinions and beliefs. If you're to be loved conditionally then you must meet the conditions which are brought forth by the person, regardless of if that's what you want or believe in.

If a person loves you conditionally and you deviate from the way that they expect you to behave then you'll probably end up making the person hate you, that's just how it works. As long as there's a condition for a person to love you like dressing a certain type of way or having a certain type of body or behaving a certain type of way then you are definitely experiencing conditional love.

I hope this helps.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"pk8wdaddx","appParentAuthor":"namasico","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |
