I see no reason why anyone should allow another person think for them and make decisions that personally affect you.

Alot of marriages and relationships have been broken simply because the decision to date or marry a person wasn't decided by the people involved, but by someone else. I see a lot of my friends date girls because another person insisted that the girl would fit them and not because they themselves actually wanted to date them or even date anyone for that matter.

I've seen people grow to hate their parents, their jobs and their lives simply because they wanted to become one thing but their parents insisted that they become something else. If you don't think and make your own decisions then you're only going to find yourself living in a world of regret, and the painful part is that the decisions that you'll regret will be decisions that you yourself didn't make.

If you can't think and make your own decisions then you're essentially a mindless robot. Your life is yours and thinking for yourself and making your own decisions is the hall mark of what makes your life belong to you. I'd rather make a decision that goes wrong and regret it than letting someone else decide for me then still regret it because at the end of the day we'll only have ourselves to blame so why not be the one to decide what happens in your life.

I hope this helps.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"p3qh3ukaq","appParentAuthor":"erikah","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |
