What are the main causes of divorce in marriages today?

There are alot of reasons why people get divorced these days and it has alot to do with the way the world is right now. Whatever the case, here's a list of reasons why people get divorced these days

1. Rushed Decisions: Alot of couples that get married these days rush into it like as if it's a common relationship. They don't really understand everything that comes with being married and once they're husband and wife, they quickly realise that it's not the same thing as boyfriend and girlfriend.

2. Give up attitude: When you get married, your vows say "for better for worse" but alot of people have forgotten that because when things get hard, instead of trying to figure things out, they just opt for a divorce because they feel it's easier than facing their marital problems and trying to fix them.

3. Infidelity: it's not new news that morality all around the world is at an all time low, so it's easy to see why married people, particularly married men step out on their wives. Marriage itself has lost value in the world and people see it as just a task which they have to tick off their to do list, they don't see it as a life time commitment anymore and that's why infidelity is so high.

4. Unsupportive partners: This one is mostly on the part of men. Most guys still feel that a woman's place is in the house and as such when they marry a woman who wants to build her career, they actively try and discourage them or downright kick against the idea. Women in this position have no choice but to hit the divorce button.

5. Feminist sentiment: The battle between the sexes is at its highest point right now and women have begun to lose their value as they try to pursue equality with men and this is absurd because if the sexes aren't equals then women are above men, I'm an man and even I know this . Some women are just looking for every excuse to pick fights with their men over these kind of issues,l because they don't realise that what feminism stands for is equal opportunity and treatment not necessarily equality in every aspect of life. This kind of mindset drives men crazy and the next option is to file for a divorce.

6. Monkey see monkey do: The fact that couples all around the world are getting divorced everyday has made it seem like it's ok to do the same thing and couples who are still together see this and feel that it's ok to follow suit instead of trying to figure their problems out. It all falls back to what I was saying at the beginning, the way the world is now is what's causing all this. I fear that the concept of marriage will soon be forgotten or even abolished one day.

I hope this helps.
