What do you think about the idea that banks should start using steem blockchain?

If banks chose the Steem blockchain to utilize banking, we would be in for a real treat, but I think it would be naive to think we'll see banks just start using blockchains and cryptos. This will be an extremely slow integration, where blockchains will likely only be used as ledgers to store transactions for fiat. I know this may sound silly, but it may be how the integration starts.

Mainstream population is not going to easily adhere to using cryptocurrency, especially if it remains a volatile, speculative digital asset. For us, who are already involved with crypto's, and have a generally sound fundamental understanding of the nuts and bolts, such a shift would be much easier, but we need to bear in mind that it's easy to forget how complicated something may be once understood. For me, crypto is simple, but explaining it to noobs is unbelievable. I have a hard time wrapping my mind around what is so hard to grasp, but then I need to remind myself that blockchain is very conceptual, and many people are creatures of tangibility.

I think they will brand the "decentralized ledger service" as a "premium protection" (You're money will be insured from theft with our infallible blockchain ledger) All the little buzzwords in their appropriate places, and society will start to become familiar with the tech, when the idea of blockchain is comfortable, now we can integrate some tokens, ect..

This was a very thought provoking question!
