Partly because it will give me the freedom to choose my own design, the quality as well as the quantity of building materials I am going to use. It enables me to get a house of my own taste. </p>\n<p>On the other hand, buying a house leaves you with very little options as far as your taste as well as the quality of materials used to construct the house. Unless you are going to just pull the entire house down and reconstruct to your taste, you can hardly get a house that will satisfy you 100% unless you build from the scratch. </p>\n<p>A lot of folks that buy house do so to save time and the inconveniences associated with having to construct one from the onset. Have you ever heard of hunted houses? I am not talking about the movie now but houses get haunted in real life too. I once read a particular thread on twitter about a dude that rented an apartment thinking he's hit a jackpot because it came cheap. Long story short, he almost lost his live due to terrible dreams which sometimes transcribe to reality within the house. He left the apartment after finding out that the last 5 occupants of the apartment all dropped dead within months of occupying it. He was damn lucky, he was told by his neighbours.</p>\n<p>Just imagine buying that kind of house. There is no way you would have known.
