`json_metadata`	"{"app":"Musing","appTags":["Tithe","Christianity"],"appCategory":"Tithe","appTitle":"Why Do Some Christians Condemn Tithe Which The Bible Approves In Number 8: 21?","appBody":"<p>Well firstly I must say I believe in tithing because there is blessings attached to tithing.</p><p>The reason most christain today condemned tithing is simply because of the way most pastors are going about it, some pastors are putting so much pressure and fear on their members to pay tithe and also teaching tithing in a wrong way , some have turned it into a way of exploiting believers which is very wrong.</p><p>The motive for tithing in the old testament and in the new testament are totally different,in the old testament tithing is a strict law,it's like a tax you must pay and if you don't then expect bad thing to happen to your business and things around you</p><p>Malachi 3:10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it. 3:11 And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the LORD of hosts.</p><p>This scripture was based on the Mosaic law but we are not under the Mosaic law but under grace which is the new testament.</p><p>Mind you the first man in the Bible to give his tithe was Abraham and he was not compelled to give, infact there was no law but he gave his tithe not so that God will bless him because he was already the blessed.</p><p>Tithing is a way of honouring God and thanking him for his blessings upon our life.</p><p>So its good to give our tithe but it should be taught in a right way and believers should know the benefit of tithing.</p>","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"pknq48ylx","appParentAuthor":"giftedminds","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}"

<p>Thanks ! But I read in the NT about Jesus, who is the Author of Christianity, said " I have not come to CONDEMN  the Law , but to enable it's fulfilment"  If Jesus Did not Cancel Tithe , why do some Christians vehemently Condemn it??</p><p>Also if God , as You said in Malachi 3 Compels it  and it's attendant Blessings and Curses; why Condemn the Pastor's/Priests who Preaches it Vehemently, Perhaps to steer them from incurring the Wrath of God??</p><p>What Did Numbers 8:21 says about Whose Entitlement is the Tithe??</p>

And thereby put me to the test, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour down for you a blessing until there is no more need.</em></p>\n<p>Tithing is a process that comes with blessings from the lord, the bible did not only support itx but it definitely commands it, it said it in the chapter that \"there may be meat in my house\" this goes on to show that the tithe and offerings of the people who comes to house of God is what is used to keep the church running, sometimes used to feed the pastor, even God knows this as well.</p>\n<p>I see no reason why a true Christian will condemn tithing, however Christians feel these days that some people who are pastors are abusing the essence of tithing, buying expensive private jets, spending the tithes of hardworking Christians on material things which wasn't the Bible's purpose of tithing.</p>\n<p>In most Pentecostal denominations some Christians are angry that pastors are living large on tithes instead of using it to facilitate growth amongst the body of the church and it's members which is wrong, they hardly participate in missionary journeys like the apostles of old, but they spend the designated tithe money on things which the bible preaches or warns against.</p>\n<p>This is the sole reason why Christians are so angry with the concept of paying tithe in the church because they feel the original purpose of tithe is being generally disobeyed and abused, however the bible supports tithing Andy that's why joining a church that obeys the original concept of tithe is the only solution.</p>","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"pknq48ylx","appParentAuthor":"giftedminds","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}"

But What was the original purpose according to Numbers 8: 21?</p><p>If God Says that He has a given the Tithes to the Priests; Why are some Christians Angry when the Priests uses the tithe as their own as commanded by scripture. Why Must they express anger if priests used their God Given entitlement to buy " Private Jets" ? Are Good Things Which Comes from God Reserved for the SINNERS and Parishioners to the Exclution of the Priests??</p>
