I remember placing bets that I wouldn't swear only to loose in munites. This was when I knew that I had to embrace the</p><p>•Don't get too hard on your self</p><p>Doing harmful things like slapping your self or bieng tough on yourself will only create the opposite effect we desire. It's been discovered that the more we resist a bad habit the more we succumb to it. I accepted this and made a new rule to reduce the number of times I swear a day rather than stop swearing which was impossible.</p><p>• Form a positive counter habit</p><p>I learned to switch curse words with rhyming words. This way instead of cursing I use them.</p><p>Also, avoid whatever triggers your addiction so as to prevent submission to your old ways.</p><p>Remember, Rome wasn't built in a day but don't give up.
