I was able to live without it since the year it started. Used it for 6 months and had enough. I can live without that. I think that millions of people would contribute more to humanity if they started to use their facebook time in more productive and constructive things.
\n
I am aware of the importance of social networks and the potential they have for great things. But, I don't think people are putting social networks to good use and, except for honorable exceptions, far from learning or making the world a better place, they have turned facebook into the thing that dictates their day-to-day life and social interactions.
\n
The fact that we have people more concerned about how many likes they get on their posts or how many followers they lost than about the pressing issues of their culture is something to be worried about.
\n
Facebook (as well as other social network sites) have become a distraction. The kind of distraction that benefits those who work to make millions at the expense of people's blind support. The more disconnected people are from their reality and the more they distance themselves from actual physical action, the least they will contribute to the solution of their problems.
\n
Unless the social networks are used to improve people's lives and contribute to the development of our societies and the overcoming of current problems, they can be a real waste of time.
\n

","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"f3hpk7tsw","appParentAuthor":"overdose23456","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |
