Some schools are really good at handling discipline and providing a safe environment. That takes a lot of weight off parents' shoulders.
\n
In the early grades, primary school, there are no many worries except perhaps misbehavior itself. Students should avoid to become the naughty kid, the one who gets attention at all cost and who will probably end up at the principal's office.
\n
Self-discipline and adaptation are key for students's success at any level. At the higher levels, with adolescence knocking at their doors, kids shold avoid other major problems. They should avoid become the target of bullies and that can be achieved by self-assertion and courage, denouncing any hint at bullying as soon as it happens.
\n
The wrong gang can also be the source of much trouble. Troubled kids are god at finding equally insecure kids who may fall prey to their allegedly attractive way of seeing the world. Vices and experimentation are common place in HS. Students must avoid at all cost allowing the bad kids to drag them to the hole of anarchy and rebelliousness.
\n
Academic excellence, social and emotional maturity must be the goals of every student.
\n
School years can be the best and most important years in the life of a human being.
