I mean granted there are movies like the 1960s movie \"Psycho\" about Norman Bates which scared the pants off me but then again it doesn't compare to certain coloured movies that I've seen.

I mean movies like Paranormal Activity and The conjuring are all in full colour and I don't think any movie has scared me the way the conjuring did. I literally haven't even been able to say the name of the demon in the movie since I watched it. The thing is, when it's not in black and white, it makes it feel more life like.

The scariest movies are the ones that are based on true life stories or the ones that could actually happen to someone. If a movie is in black and white, it defeats the purpose of actually being able to happen in real life because even if it scares me, the fact that it's in black and white by default makes me know it's not real.

There's also the fact that most black and white movies where made decades ago and the graphics and props weren't as good as they are now so if I actually see something that should scare me it doesn't because it literally doesn't look real at all.

I'm going to stick with coloured movies being better, they make things look more life like, scary glowing yellow eyes are actually scary glowing yellow eyes in coloured movies, in black and white movies, they're just black and white and that makes it so much less scary.

I hope this helps.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"fk3szs39x","appParentAuthor":"holovision","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |
