Parenting is all about building relationship with your kids by being both their parents, their confidant, their friend, their play mate etc.</p><p>Most parents relate with their kids like a ruler. They only pass order and instructions for the kids to obey with giving the kids time or caring to know what the kids care about or thinks. Kids find it difficult relating with such parents. Some parents also always remind the kids of what is expected of them and what they as parents can't condone. Kids under such parents can't go to the parents and tell them something that they've done that fall short of the parent's standard. That's why most kids hardly tell their parents anything </p><p>Parents should be flexible and pay attention to their kids. They should know when to be strict and when to be easy going. Don't treat your kids like they are in a military camp. Play with them, talk with them and be their buddies.
