json_metadata | "{"app":"musing/1.1","appTags":["human"],"appCategory":"human","appTitle":"What is your perspective on human cloning?","appBody":"
Well my perspective on this depends on why exactly people would want to perform human cloning. For starters, if it's for the soul purpose of creating new life, Asin the case of reproductive cloning, then I'm going to have to say that it's wrong, I'm a Christian and I feel that the only person who has the power to give life is God, anything else is basically just a cheap imitation.

Now if we're talking about therapeutic cloning which is basically the development of human cells for transplants and other medical purposes then I think it's actually a good thing. It would certainly give people who need organ transplants a better chance at surviving rather than waiting for someone else to die so that you can take theirs.

Cloning on its own isn't a bad thing, at least not when we're trying to create completely new human beings. The former would simply be us humans trying to play God and I don't think that's good for anyone.

As long as it's for medical purposes then I can't say that I have an issue with it. Although I know a few people who'd feel it's unethical to do something like that but the world is moving forward everyday and one day we'll actually be able to grow new cells and organs for people. I can't go against something like that.

I hope this helps.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"what-is-your-perspective-on-human-cloning","appParentAuthor":"jacqueline2","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |
