I would say yes ETH is good investment because ETH is the 2nd cryptocurrency in coinmarket cap and the most ICO and Token are now a days coming in ERC20 token so more buying is done for ETH and in return they get ETH so there are more chances ETH will rise in future, if you are a investor you can diversify your investment and invest in ETH and BTC. Price prediction of 2018 is 2000$ and it will be surely touch if BTC performs good.
