According to the latest Alexa Audience Geography Ranking result, the United States is still Steemit.com's (the largest platform built on top of the Steem blockchain) largest user-base with South Korea on a close second. Germany and United Kingdom comes in 4th and 5th respectively.

What this tells us is that the majority of users for the site "Steemit.com" comes from English Speaking countries. So if you want the majority of people to read your post and get some support then it is highly recommended to write in English.

Also if you look at Steem's top 1000 largest stakeholders (and by extension curators) over 90% of them comes from English-Speaking countries like the United States and Europe. This alone is enough reason to blog or vlog in English.

So yeah! If one is after large support from the Steem community, it is indeed a bonus if your main language is English, much more if you can write well both in Informal and Formal English since the majority of Steem's largest stakeholders speaks and understands this language.
