What did you do about it?","appBody":"
Oh yes, I have been bullied. It was many years ago and I was pretty small back then so there wasn't much I could do. Let me tell you about it.
\n
I started getting bullied when I was twelve. I was getting bullied by a guy that was about four or five years older than me. He was three classes ahead of me and he was the bane of my existence back then. Now the problem I had with him wasn't that he was bullying me. If it was anyone else I could have taken the matter to the faculty. But this guy was a prefect and he was the oldest kid in the entire school. He had been held back a couple of times so he was pretty huge for a high schooler. His own classmates were scared of him and teachers generally didn't mess with him. He was the worst and I caught his eye.
\n
I didn't know why he hated me. I honestly didn't. He just picked on me and hit me and made me feel like trash. I did everything to make it stop. I tried avoiding him, I tried appeasing him, I gave him my food(it was a boarding school). I did everything but he never stopped. Then one day he told me why he did it. He said I had an annoying face and he hated it. He hated me for the one thing I couldn't change. So for about two years I was under his thumb.
\n
Towards the end of his stay in the school, I began to strike back at him. Messing with him in the little ways that I could. He knew it was me but I took avoiding him to a new level. Then on a faithful day he was supposed to leave I came out of the bathroom and he was at the end of the corridor. It felt like the horseman of death had come for me. I ran. he chased. He was above six feet, the sports prefect. He was fast. But fear kept me a few inches out of his reach. I ran to the staff room and that's when he stopped chasing me. I think he just wanted to kill me before leaving. But that was then. I saw him a few weeks ago and I'm taller than him now. We laughed about it all and he said he knew he was kind of an arse. I guess everyone grows up eventually
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"pk48e7vyq","appParentAuthor":"tim2009","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |
