Prophets like Isaiah prophesied the coming of Jesus and when Jesus came to earth, he brought an end to the era of the law which Moses representated.
\n
Jesus told his disciples in Mark 12 vs 30 \"I give you a new commandments, which is love the Lord your God and love your fellow human\" this commandments brought an end to the the era of the ten commandments and ushered in a era of grace which the death of Jesus Christ ushered.
\n
After Jesus rose from the cross and was about to be ascended into heaven, he gave his disciples the great commission which they were going to spread to all humanity;
\n
In Mathew 28 vs 18 to 20
\n
18 Then Jesus came to them and said, βAll authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.
\n
19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations,baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit
\n
20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with youalways, to the very end of the age.β
\n
Jesus was the messiah promised to mankind after they've sinned, he was the link that made it possible for mankind to be called the sons of God through his sacrifices on the cross, so Christians practise the the new testaments because it signifies the new covenants of Christ's sacrifices on the cross and also because the basis of Christianity is built on the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross for the remission of mankind.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"pkcz788dx","appParentAuthor":"birapada","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |
