That's a speech for a whole book.
\n
The urge to teach others is a natural one, especially in people who feel strong empathy.
\n
We see that people around us have the wrong ideas about the world, and we want to fix those, because it would be to their benefit.
\n
Then, there are some people, call them \"know it all\" if you will,
\n
who lack certain understanding of another person.
\n
They might have facts, but not the right empathy.
\n
Some call it an emotional intelligence.
\n
Those might behave like being wrong is on pair with some sort of sin.
\n
They will try to correct, and teach people, but not because it's a benefit,
\n
even in their mind it is,
\n
but because they perceive not doing so, unacceptable.
\n
If called out on mistake, they can somehow be technically correct, then that's still a victory and they are the smart one, everyone else is just stupid and need their guidance.
\n
Obviously, that is not all black and white, and people exhibit some character traits only to some extend.
\n
I'm probably deep down that rabbit hole of telling people what is what. :)
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"f34a5u3aw","appParentAuthor":"erikah","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |
