Different societies evolve different social rules, and you should do your best to follow as many of them as you can to fit into particular society. </p>\n<p>2. Different societies evolve different social rules, and you should follow as few of those rules as you can get away with in a given society because those are not absolute and universal.</p>\n<p>Of course, the middle ground is the best way to go. Rules the society evolves are based on what members of that society hold dear, and therefore they are subject to change. You can either follow embrace the status quo or try make change.</p>\n<p>Generally, most societies reliably hold very few ideas dear.</p>\n<p>And in the spirit of the 2nd point, if you follow those, you will fit in just in almost any society.</p>\n<p>Those would be:</p>\n<p>1. Peace is Preferable to Conflict.</p>\n<p>2. Life is Preferable to Death</p>\n<p>3. Justice is Preferable to Oppression.</p>\n<p>4. Law is Preferable to Anarchy</p>\n<p>We're all on the same boat so better take turns rowing.</p>\n<p>Most societies don't throw those who refuse to row over board, but you will not get extra bread for just sitting on your ass.</p>\n<p>So at least do the bare minimum.</p>","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"pkrayw89x","appParentAuthor":"ashleysha","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |
