Hysterectomy is actually the most common treatment, but there are other options that are possible for people who wish to get pregnant later in life, such as myomectomy - that is surgically removing the fibroids without damaging the uterus. This procedure can leave the woman able to get pregnant even after treatment, but unfortunately it's not possible for everyone. This is based on the location and size of the fibroids, so there are definitely some unlucky woman who lose their ability to get pregnant because of fibroids.
\n
There are also a few other treatment methods such as providing certain drugs, that can also treat fibroids without removing the ability to get pregnant, but these treatments are considered less effective than hysterectomies.
\n
I hope this made it clear, and please feel free to ask any questions that you might have if you want to know more.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"f3rxnm875","appParentAuthor":"kilishi","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |
