I totally think it can be. My father has two friends that go to every funeral in our town . They love them . Love misery. When no one dies the two friends go to the hospital and visit the sick. So I definitely think it can be a choice

Being miserable depends on situations and circumstances which are out of your hands and as a result of these circumstances the turn out of events in one's life may result in disappointment, failure and stumbling blocks.

Misery is not what any human being will bargain for, everyone in life hopes to be successful, self fufilled and accomplished as well and not miserable or hurt

As a matter of opinion Misery to me is an involuntary action which is out of contro, it's a psychological effect that reciprocates when things turns out quite bad for man contrary of how they want it to turn out, it's an emotional outburst that precedes sadness and pain that's why I feel being miserable is a not a thing of choice, but something an involuntary circumstances that must take place when there is a negative turn of event in the life of a man
