The design of their protocol level also are different. So it is obvious that the protocol of Steem blockchain will not behave in a same manner as that of BTC Blockchain.
\n
When you send money in Steem blockchain, if the user name does not exist it can not send fund and its protocol is designed in that way.
\n
In case of BTC Blockchain, you must understand that the addresses are the hashes of the public keys. So it is apparent that at the protocol level of BTC Blockchain, public keys is important and not the address, as it is designed to interact & read with the public key. So one can hash the public keys to get an address and as long as the checksum checks out, the transaction will be through but with a wrong address, you can not recover those bitcoins if you don't have the private key of that address. It is as simple as that.
\n

","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"f3yvz6ymw","appParentAuthor":"littymumma","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |
