In my country, the government at the moment has to reduce the debt that was created by the previous regime. The current government has to find ways to deal with this problem. It hasn't got to the point where the government is unable to make those payments but we almost got there. Luckily the government was replaced with a more capable one.

The next thing is the education system. In my country, the education minister has egos. Different education ministers want to prove their existence so they come up with all sorts of plans. There are three languages used in my country which are English, Bahasa malaysia and mandarin. So one minister wants science to be in English then when the next minister comes in, he wants it to be in dual language and so on. This is very destructive as it confuses the minds of the youth. Imagine studying science in a different language pre school then heading into primary school in another language and so on.

There is a lot of the people in the country who are in some ways educated but never manage to complete higher education due to difficulties in adapting into the education system.

Then there was corruption. Alot of the countries wealth were siphoned into a corrupt leader. Last year alone, the new government found out that about 12 billion usd went to the wrong hands. Imagine if this was used for building schools roads, aiding the poor and many more. My country has enjoyed a relatively great success for the decades but it can be better. Many of the other country who are neighbour's are catching up. Singapore has beaten Malaysia by maybe ten years. All due to good leadership skills.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"f3epkeezw","appParentAuthor":"funtraveller","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}"
