Steem is same for the entire world but the cost of living is not same everywhere. So it depends and I think in <em><strong>Asian countries</strong></em> if you are living in, then having a <em><strong>25K SP</strong></em> will be enough to manage your livelihood.</p>\n<p>If you have that much SP you can engage in the community in a a better way, you can influence more people and regardless of all these, <em><strong>you can simply sell your vote to services like smartsteem and minnobooster to get instant liquid payment which again you can sell directly in any exchange for fiat money based upon your requirement.</strong></em></p>\n<p>Another way out is also <em><strong>delegating to bid-bots and earn daily payout and that also you can earn liquid steem to manage your livelihood</strong></em> and I am sure most of the people are doing like that.</p>\n<p>If you are staying in developed countries like <em><strong>US, Europe, UK, Australia</strong></em> then 25K SP may not be enough and you need at least <em><strong>60 or 70K SP</strong></em> to earn a decent monthly income to fulfill your needs as the cost of living in those countries is high.</p>\n<p>There are also people in this community who does not have SP or any stake but they are managing their livelihood from steem earning. They are engaging in the following ways to earn steem in this community:</p>\n<ul>\n <li>Participating in writing contest</li>\n <li>Active engagement with other good topics and getting their comments upvoted</li>\n <li>Writing good articles</li>\n <li>Posting Dtube video</li>\n <li>Hunting good products in steemhunt</li>\n <li>Engaging in musing</li>\n <li>participating in different photography contest</li>\n</ul>\n<p>But all these require passion, active engagement, dedication toward community, building relationship in the community, a desire to develop and grow.</p>","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"pkubhzl9x","appParentAuthor":"luueetang","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |

You create 3 docent posts a week and get all the heaviest curation projects upvote it, maybe even some whales, or @ned, I don't know, throw in a 100 $1.00 votes. </p><p>Literally, you could have minimal SP required to post and make $100's per post.</p><p>On the other hand, you could also have very little SP, and engage in manual curation and earn through curation rewards. You can earn at least tripple the value of your vote in curation rewards.</p><p>And lastly, just invest $2.000.000 and live off of renting your SP to others.
