Should i lease steem power or should i engage bots to vote for my posts?","appBody":"
What I would do is neither of those choices. The aim of Steemit is to grow your account so you have real value and have more influence. the bigger your account the more you can do. let us first analyze what you want to do and why it is not very smart. It is your money so you can do whatever you want with it but you must first understand what and why I say they are the wrong things to do.
\n
1. Post on Steemit and use bid bots. Let us say you do one post and are going to spend the full $100 SBD's.
\n
Currently $100 will get you $120 in bid bot votes from Smart market which is part of Smartsteem a bid bot service.
\n
Your post is now worth $120 less the curation fee of 25% so that is $120-$30=$90. You spent $100 but your post is worth $90 now. You lost $10 by doing that. You may pick up a couple of other votes along the way but what you have basically done is lost money.
\n
2. Buy SP and sell vote to minnowbooster. Why would you consider that when you should be using your votes to grow your influence. I have looked into this before and you will be lucky to recoup your investment and most likely lose at least 20% so your $100 SBD's has now made you $80 SBD's back ,another loss.
\n
If you vote on a post you should be commenting as that is how anyone grows. If you hand your vote to someone else you are not going to grow your following.
\n
If you just power up your SP into your account and grow like other users do by engaging then that would make sense. I cast all my votes every day manually. I engage with those other users so I gain curation on my vote and because I have commented i normally receive a vote back.
\n
My 5 c vote will normally make 7-10 c by doing this method. I can make a minimum of 1 SP per day by interacting. This way you grow properly and are not losing like your methods.
\n
Steemit doesn't have any short cuts and what you are trying to do stinks of shortcuts. What you need to understand is that it takes hard work to build your account and so many users won't have a future on Steemit once the SMT's arrive. If you haven't built a network around your account with other users you are dead in the water. You should be building now as once the masses arrive you will be totally lost. This is the honest truth and I hope you listen. This is the only reason why I am working so hard to build my account organically and not looking for shortcuts.
\n

","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"p3k4kmedx","appParentAuthor":"markchu","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}"

Not even half of your initial 100 liquid SBD investment. Although it is worth to note that this estimations did not include the curation rewards you would get from selling your votes.
\n

\n
So yeah personally for me, the second option seems not to be a good idea at the moment. If you are writing a good decent post then option number 1 seems to be the better option. A 10SBD bid per day/per post might get your post on Hot/Trending and thereby increasing your chances of being upvoted by other Steemians or luckily get the attention of some orcas/whales.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"p3k4kmedx","appParentAuthor":"markchu","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}"

I would suggest different approaches to people depending on if they want to a) earn as much profit as possible, or b) want to build a following, and potentially grow as a poster on Steem.
\n
I'm generally not a fan of bit bots, since these take money from people for themselves, then reward those users with a share of the common reward pool. So we are essentially just lining the pockets of the bot owners when using them, getting a very small return for ourselves. But yes, you could potentially make a profit of it if you are smart with your investments.
\n
I think powering up to Steem Power is generally a better idea, but it will take a longer time before you turn a profit. However, there are lots of different benefits to this, including:
\n
- Getting more influence on the blockchain (heavier witness votes).
\n
-Getting more Resource Credits to allow you to interact more.
\n
- Are able to upvote your own posts with more money.
\n
- Are able to sell surplus votes for minnowbooster if you wish.
\n
- Are able to delegate to other projects, either because you believe in it, or because you want to earn some money.
\n
- You are able to reward people who engage with you, or people who you enjoy reading.
\n
- You earn interest on your Steem Power (and not your liquid Steem).
\n
I guess I know what I would have chosen, but then again, it might take longer to turn a profit with Steem Power (if you manage to invest your liquid Steem smart into the bots).
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"p3k4kmedx","appParentAuthor":"markchu","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}"
