If Osama Bin ladin was born to a christian family, chances are he would live as Christians and if Myles Munroe was born into a Muslim family, he would have probably lived as a muslim. The same thing is applicable to other religions. Virtually all human followed the religion of their parent except for few that changes due to one reason or the other. </p><p>I was a Muslim by birth and my parent taught me the ways of Islam. I started studying Alquran at the age of 7 and learn how to pray in the Islamic way. My parents enrolled me into a christian school when I was 8years because that was the only private school that was close to our area and it was considered one of the best school then. That was what marked the beginning of my faith</p><p>At school, I learn christian religious knowledge while at home, I go for my Islamic lessons. This continued for years. When I got to secondary school, I started digging deep into both religion as I was confused on which part to trend. Why I'm I confused if you may ask? I'm receiving double knowledge with different belief. One teaches Mohammed (SAW) while the other teaches Jesus. These two prophets are very special according to the teachings and at the same time powerful. I continued doing my personal research without my parent knowing what was going on. I got to a stage where the Quran says it is your prayer (sulat ) that will save you from Jahnama which is reffered to as hell. Anyone who doesn't perform sulat is a kafari and it will be difficult for such person to enter Aljana(paradise). </p><p>I didn't stop there. I entered the christian scripture which is the Bible and I discovered from there that whosoever believe in Jesus shall have everlasting life and that it's only through him we can be saved because he has been sacrificed for our sin.</p><p>I was more confused when I got this two messages. I didn't know what to do. I was thirsty for the truth but no one could help me out because if I ask anyone of either religion, their answer will be what I've already found out myself.</p><p>It was as if I was between the devil and the blue sea. I began to pray directly to God without using neither of the two prophets. My prayer wasn't far fetched. It was as follows</p><p>\" God, please show me the way\" both religions says they are the right way. Oh God, I am confused.please show me the way.</p><p>I continued with this sole prayer for a very long time and one fateful day, I was sleeping and I had a very fresh dream. I saw myself standing before one of our neighbour and she called my name and said \" why is everywhere around you bright\"?</p><p>I was surprised at her words but truely when I was conscious to look around me, I discovered that I was in the middle of brightness. As I was wondering what could cause the unusual brightness, I saw a frame coming out right on the floor before my legs. It was a big frame with beautiful rocks in it. I kept looking at the frame. Suddenly I saw someone coming out beneath the frame at the front of the rock. He was putting on white. His hair, white.Everything on him was white, just a half picture. I looked and tried to figure out whom he was and behold, it was Jesus Christ. I never understood how I was able to know that it was him.My mind jus got tied to his name in my dream. Now I was curious as if I was seeing it in reality. Before I could raise my voice to say anything the image started talking to me and what he said was this.</p><p>\"I AM THE SAVIOUR\" I AM THE SAVIOUR, I AM THE SAVIOUR. </p><p>And he finished it in my language.( EMI NI OLUGBALA)</p><p>Under the frame is written King of kings. Immediately after this,the frame gave a sign like a TV that is about to off and the picture vanished. That was how I woke up. I got this relief and I was convinced that God really answered my prayers. He saw my worry as a young girl seeking the truth and he made it clear to me in a trans. I began to study the bible extensively. To cut the long story short, I became a christian. My parent were surprised at my sudden change. After series of scolding I didn't yield to. I was left alone to trade the part I chose. Today, I'm a fully grown adult. A graduate who still remain a christian. Now to the questions you asked. If anyone will give you their answer, it will be taken from their guide which is either Quran, bible, or whatever source that holds their religion as the best. Every one will definitely have something to say. But the truth of the matter is I didn't decide which religion to follow. I was born into one religion which on a normal ground i should follow but along the line, a lamp of confusion was raised and I stood in between till I was shown the way. I've had series of encounter with him after the first one. If i want to start telling how he has been communicatjng to me through trans, i will take the whole page on musing to write about the genuity of Jesus lol. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the light.no one can come to the father except through him. If you are confused just like I was, tell God to show you the way. If you say this prayer with one mind and not a bias one, he will surely pay you a visit. JESUS IS LORD.</p><p>Thank you for this wonderful question. It surely does not just accept what parents say.</p>\n<p>You may have bathed in a Muslim environment, grown up in a Muslim family, lived in a predominantly Muslim country, frequented Muslim pals but in your heart not adhere to Islam.</p>\n<p>Parents transmit the message, they have the duty to transmit, and to transmit well if possible (hence the importance for them to know why they are believers themselves). They can not impose anything. A belief is personal.
