The answer to that question depends on how badly the one or both of the spouses want children and how irreplaceable the spouses are to each other. It is impossible to make any kind of generalizations. If neither of the spouses absolutely wants children, there is no reason to believe such a marriage could not last until death does the spouses apart.</p>\n<p>If the childlessness is caused by one of the spouses declining to have them against the wishes of the other or if it is caused by the inability of the spouses to have children <em>together</em>, then many a couple will find themselves in a crisis. I suppose the biological clock will determine when the marriage must be end for either or both to be able to have biological children of their own. <p>"All men want to have a child, not everyone can,"</p><p>Where did you get the idea that all men want to have a child? That is most definitely a false statement. I know men who have got vasectomy as soon as they have been legally allowed to because they are absolutely certain they do not want any children.</p>
