| json_metadata | "{"app":"Musing","appTags":["Drugs"],"appCategory":"Drugs","appTitle":"Why are youths abusing too much drugs?","appBody":"<p>When I was a teenager and first went out clubbing I had only ever heard of drugs that had been made popular by the new media, my mum works in a hospital and she also would tell me horror stories about what happens when people take drugs.</p>\n<p>After a few nights out and a few good laughs I made a friend who smoked weed, he offered it to me not in a pressure way but more like if you are sharing a cig with someone.</p>\n<p>I told him no, I am ok and he carried on smoking it himself, he seemed to laugh more and became more chilled out.</p>\n<p>the next time he smoked it I asked him for a couple of drags as I wanted to see what it was like, i felt light headed and well mellow.</p>\n<p>I moved on after a while on to harder drugs, such a ecstasy and speed, this wasn't put on me I just decided to take it as I wanted to try it out.</p>\n<p>I never got pressured into taking them. </p>\n<p>Now in today's day of age i think it is because it is the lack of education that youths have, they seem to see others doing it and do it them selves, these days you can watch a movie and see it happen and they think that it is cool. </p>\n<p>music videos are the same and are made popular by them going trending, it is all around us.</p>\n<p>Now, I have paid the price of taking these drugs with 3 breakdowns in 15 years, my mental health has suffered because of it and I am dead against drugs, i think that if people get the education of such things it would be better and youths would understand the risks of taken them.</p>\n<p><br></p>\n<p><br></p>","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"f3jltjnd5","appParentAuthor":"mosinusita","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |

Sometimes as others have posted they are seeking drugs as a form of escape.</p>\n<p>Let's be honest, being a youth is tough. Especially in this day and age. There are all the changes your body is going through plus all of the social anxiety that they have to deal with every day.</p>\n<p>A typical youths daily life is a literal maze that I don't know if I would be able to navigate. It was much easier when I was younger, but still fraught with all of the typical ups and downs that teenagers have to deal with.</p>\n<p>Sometimes they are also abusing drugs because of a poorly prescribed pain medication. This is similar to what happens to adults. They get hooked on the pain pill then the prescription runs out so they turn to other places to get their fix.</p>\n<p>Their body builds up a tolerance and eventually it takes more and more to get that same high.</p>\n<p>It is a vicious cycle.</p>","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"f3jltjnd5","appParentAuthor":"mosinusita","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |
