It is a constant battle between depression and the idea of what your life should be like. Constant tug of war between depressed thought and positive self talk can be tiring.
\n
One thing a person should remove if the are experiencing depression is alcohol in my opinion. A first the alcohol helps cope with the depression and a false sense of happiness occurs. However, the more alcohol consumed, the more negative thoughts and words that occur. That false sense of happiness usually is quickly shattered by tears and verbal \"vomit\" about all the things wrong in your life.
\n
Another thing a person should avoid is social media. This can be extremely hard for depressed people. This is their outlet to release some of their thoughts and feelings, however, that doesn't need to be public. People reading your posts do two things, totally ignore the depressed person or talk about that person. A person with depression should seek professional help to be able to talk about their feelings.
\n
Things people with depression should be trying are exercise, talking with trusted love ones, journaling and seeking professional help whether it be medication or counseling. There are millions of people living with depression and many have found successful ways to cope and have a happy life.
","appDepth":2,"appParentPermlink":"fkdrjrll5","appParentAuthor":"maloudada","musingAppId":"aU2p3C3a8N","musingAppVersion":"1.1","musingPostType":"answer"}" |
